The J H Millstein Vintage Hen On Nest Easter Candy Container from the 1930s-40s is a collectible figurine made of crystal clear glass. Featuring a chicken design, this whimsical piece adds a touch of farm and countryside charm to any collection. With its unique craftsmanship, this item makes for a special addition to any decor.
•••I have placed pink tissue paper in the candy storage cavity to show detail.
….Manufactured in Jeanette Pennsylvania, this would have been sold with candy tucked up inside and a paper/cardboard removable seal. Very popular especially to gift this at Easter time.
••••At nearly 100years old, This item does have a couple chips in the base as shown in my pictures as well as a tiny rough spot on the ridge of the nest in the front. Understandable considering the age!
The comb, waddle, beak and eyes are all in great condition as well as the tail which is notably a wider tail then some other brands. The design features are well defined on this model.
Please view all pictures for condition and details.
•••I bought several Hens on Nests last week at a farmhouse sale. They had been displayed for many years and are needing a bath. I did give them a light cleaning for pictures. Check my listings for more!
I will combine orders to save on shipping costs.
Thanks 😊
