Italian Mid-Century Ardalt Fiori Bianca Porcelain Soup Tureen With Platter 5493 For Sale

Beautiful, rare Ardalt piece from 1950\'s Italy. The artistic merit of these vintage Ardalt pieces from Italy is exceptional. They involved much laborious hand modeling of the applied decoration as well as intricate and multiple mold work and \"luting\" (gluing with clay slip) of all the pieces together. Ardalt were an American importer of tablewares and decorative china that emerged after WW!!. It first appeared as Ardalt Inc. Corp. New York. Fiori Bianco ware is quite hard to find these days. This beautiful, large piece belonged to my parents. We are now downsizing and with a heavy heart decided to let this piece go to another home. Unfortunately we were never able to locate the ladle but does have the platter that the tureen sits on. It is in perfect condition except for a small chip on one of the flowers. (As far as we can see). Compote measures approximately 18\" x 12\" x 11\".
