From our huge private museum collection: Extremely rare Indian Wars 1875 empty Sack Pouch Smoking Pipe, cigarette Tobacco Custer ~ Little Bighorn Era 1870s. Tax stamp dated 1875 (and still in use in 1876) Soldiers who smoked a pipe carried cloth sacks of tobacco of their favorite brand. This one is has a very Bull Durham like (milk cow, not a bull) logo with writing "Dairy Queen Smoking Tobacco Toledo O." In antique used condition with small tears / flaws (see photos). Pouch is empty (contains no tobacco). A great, rare item to display with 1870s soldier's personal items, or antique tobacco items. This early & obscure brand was obviously a knock off of the famous Bull Durham.
