A superb lot taken from the scrapbook of an adjutant serving with Allied Force Headquarters in 1943 and 1944. It includes:- 4 Passes: Pass with authority to enter AFHQ; Allied Force Headquarters Enlisted Mess Pass; and two Enlisted Man\'s Passes for leaves in Africa and Tunisa.- 2 official gold embossed seals from Headquarters North Africa Theater of Operations- 8 photos of American soldiers in Africa and Italy, 3 1/2\" x 2 1/2\" and 2\" x 3\".- A newspaper article about themove of AFHQ from North Africa to Italy, the \"largest movement of any army headquarters in military history.\" - A photo of the GI who owned all this, with two buddies. 2 3/4\" x 4\".
Overall Good condition as shown. One pass, both seals and the newspaper article have scrapbook paper on the back. Toning from age. Wrinkles to the photos. All the writing is nicely legible. They display really well!
