Offered here is an original IDF Herev (Sword) Druze Battalion uniform badge, no longer in use and now considered obsolete. The design features crossed swords above a pair of spread wings, symbolizing both the proud Druze warrior tradition and airborne/infantry capability.
The Herev (“Sword”) Battalion was a unique combat unit in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) composed primarily of Druze soldiers, reflecting their long-standing service and commitment to the defense of Israel. Although the battalion has since been disbanded, its insignia remains an important part of Israeli military history and Druze heritage.
This badge is complete with its original screw-back fastener (as shown in photos) and remains in excellent collectible condition with bright detail.
