Humorous ORIGINAL 1877 Sepia Toned Group Photo, Americana, California History For Sale

Wonderful, original sepia photograph from 1877 California. Fun, humorous. There is writing in old pencil on the exposed back, but all I could make out is "Redmonds 1877". Out of the estate of an old, California family. An white inked number 20 to the lower left corner. No studio or photographer's name. These were well to do people (early developers and bankers), and they may have had the equipment to take the photo themselves. The posing surely took some work as well. The setting is clearly in the woods, not a studio shot. The first photo represents the item best. I had trouble with light reflections. The actual/visible image measures 4 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches. Good, solid framing. Condition is quite good. Toning to the old, probably original, matting. It's an interesting and lovely thing. Feel free to ask any questions you may have; I'd be happy to answer.
