The Boeing B-377 Stratocruiser was a piston engine, long range airliner developed from the C-97 Stratofreighter military transport. The Stratocruiser first flew on 08 July 1947. The model had a pressurized cabin and could accommodate up to 100 passengers on the main deck. The aircraft was unique in that it had a stairway to the lower deck which was a passenger lounge. The Stratocruiser was introduced into passenger service on 01 April 1949 with Pan American World Airways. Fifty-five models were manufactured and provided passenger service until its retirement in 1963.

NOTE: This Hobby Master BOAC B-377 Stratocruiseris a highly collectible and extremely rare model. I could not locate another one in an internet search. It will be a welcome addition to any historic BOAC Airlines radial engine aircraft collector, any Boeing B-377 Stratocruiser collector, or any aviation enthusiast's collection.
NOTE: The ground equipment and personnel in the photographs are for show only and are NOT included in the sale.
NOTE: The fifth and sixth from the last photograph in the series are of the actual BOAC's Stratocruiser G-AKGH. The third and fourth is another BOAC Stratocruiser, and a BOAC Stratocruiser interior cutout. The next to the last photograph is of a Northwest Airlines Stratocruiser just after lifting off (how about the view that person has in that photograph?). The last photograph is the interior of a Stratocruiser. Compared to today, it is difficult to believe that coach class used to be like this.
