Thank you for visiting. Please allow approximately one week for this artwork to be shipped.Hiroshige Utagawa - Premium Woodblock Print \"Mitsumata Wakare no Fuchi\"From \"One Hundred Famous Views of Edo\" - Complete Masterpiece Replica

This is an exceptionally high-quality, museum-grade reproduction of \"Mitsumata Wakare no Fuchi\" (The Forked River at Mitsumata), from the legendary series \"One Hundred Famous Views of Edo\" by the Ukiyo-e master Hiroshige Utagawa.

This premium print was created by the Tokyo Traditional Woodblock Print Craft Association, meticulously replicating the rare first-edition (Shozuri) print housed in the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

[ The Ultimate Craftsmanship & Materials ]

This is not a standard reproduction; it is a masterpiece of modern craftsmanship that took over 6 years to complete for the entire series project (commenced in 1998 and completed in 2004).

Authentic Materials: Carved onto traditional cherry wood blocks (Sakura) and pressed onto museum-quality Eichizen Kizukishi Hosho paper (premium handmade Japanese Washi paper).

Traditional Pigments & Tools: Master carvers and printers utilized inherited traditional tools and the exact same types of pigments found in the original Edo-period print to achieve a flawless, authentic finish.

Museum Inscription: The margin bears the official inscription stating: \"Original painting is in the collection of the Edo-Tokyo Museum\"

[ Artwork Significance & Context ]

The Scene: The middle ground shows a sandbank in the lower Sumida River—a remnant of land left after the flow was cleared. This area was known as \"Mitsumata\" (Three Forks) where the river divided, and \"Wakare no Fuchi\" (The Abyss of Parting) because it marked the boundary between saltwater and freshwater.

The Atmosphere: It was a famous spot for moon-viewing, heavily bustling with pleasure boats (Nojyo-sen) enjoying the cool evening breeze.

Hiroshige\'s Grand Finale: \"One Hundred Famous Views of Edo\" is Hiroshige\'s final masterwork series, representing the ultimate culmination of his 50-year artistic career.

[ Dimensions ]

Image Size: 34.0 x 22.0 cm (13.4 in x 8.7 in)

This is perfectly identical to the dimensions of the original Edo-period first-edition print.
