This is a vintage bottle of Hires Root Beer extract / concentrate in original box with instructions for use. The glass bottle is unopened glass with metal cap that measures 4 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". The bottle is square. The box is torn and scruffy and measures 4 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". The box reads, " Hires Home Recipe Fun at Home... Root Beer Shakes Ades Ice Cream". The pamphlet/ instruction pages are folded inside box. The maker name on paper is Charles E. Hires Co. Phila. 3, PA. (note this item dates to pre-zip code days by the address!). The bottle is 3 oz size. I am selling as a novelty advertising item and don't recommend this product for consumption now as it probably dates to the 1930-1940's!!!My photos are of the actual item you are getting.
