Made in Solingen, Germany by Bertram Cutlery with genuine Red Pick Bone (RPB) jigged handles, nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, and three stainless blades. Only removed from the original packaging for photographs. Never used, carried, or sharpened. Complete with original factory green box.

It was only removed from the original packaging for photographs and has never been used, carried, or sharpened. All three blades retain their clean factory edges and excellent snap. The Red Pick Bone scales are free of cracks, chips, or damage. Normal age from long-term storage is present. Comes with the original factory green box.

Description

This Hen & Rooster 383C-RPB/m Millennium 2000 Commemorative Large Stockman features genuine Red Pick Bone handles, polished nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, and three Solingen stainless blades. The master blade carries the special frost etch “Hen & Rooster 2000 ‘World’s Finest Cutlery in the New Millennium’” and the knife is fitted with the distinctive circular “MILLENNIUM 2000” shield. Tang stamps confirm Solingen, Germany production with the classic Hen & Rooster logo and model “383 C-RPB”.

This is a genuine Solingen, Germany-made Bertram Cutlery example from the special 2000 Millennium series — not one of the later mass-produced overseas versions.

The knife is in mint condition and has only been removed from the original packaging for photography. It has never been carried, used, or sharpened. It comes complete with its original green factory box and is a clean example of a special-edition German-made Hen & Rooster from the turn-of-the-millennium series.

Brand & Series Note

Hen & Rooster traces its roots to Carl Bertram, a Solingen poultry merchant who began producing cutlery around 1845 and adopted the famous hen-and-rooster logo by 1865. The brand earned a reputation for high-grade German slipjoints under the title “World’s Finest Cutlery Since 1845.” After the original factory closed in 1980, the trademark was acquired in 1983 by James Frost of Frost Cutlery, with select patterns continuing to be made in Solingen. The 2000 Millennium series was a special commemorative run produced in Solingen to mark the new millennium, featuring the distinctive etch and shield found on this knife.
