Heirloom Hand Woven Welsh Bedspread from Trefriw Woolen Mills, Gwynedd, Wales. It is a visually stunning tapestry style bedspread, woven from sheep’s wool in bold geometric patterns in blue and off-white and is reversible. It is 96\"x88\" with fringed edges.
My wife and I brought this beautiful bedspread back from Wales(my home country) in 1984. It is in excellent condition as it has mainly been stored safely away. It has a few small thread pulls (I show pictures of two of the pulls to show you that they are very small and do not mar the appearance of this bedspread), but is otherwise in perfect condition. This is a highly collectible heirloom.
Over a few years my wife and I bought about 8 different patterns and sizes and are now selling most of them. They have all been carefully stored and preserved with cedar. My daughter will take one and another was sent to a niecein the UK, the rest are being sold.
The weaving was done in the traditional manner in a water powered mill that has been creating these beautiful blankets and spreads for more than a century, in North Wales. However the design has a very contemporary feel in bold geometric designs. This can be used as a bedspread or as a wall hanging if you have high enough ceilings. It will add grace and elegance to any room.
This bedspread is dry clean only.
