POSTER GALLERY ART PRINTS & COLLECTIBLES THE ARTWORK Harry S. Truman WWII Service Letter to Robert S. Jennings 13"x19" Poster
A presidential message of gratitude, with blue insignia and elegant lettering honoring World War II service.
This poster reproduces an original ink-on-paper form letter dated circa 1946, issued by the United States Army from President Harry S. Truman to Robert Sydnor Jennings. Its message thanks Jennings for his military service and calls upon veterans to provide leadership in peacetime. A blue Great Seal of the United States surrounded by stars appears above Jennings’s name, while a pre-printed Truman signature completes the composition. The cream-toned background and visible fold marks preserve the appearance of the source document. Associated with Nathalie, Halifax County, Virginia, the original belongs to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture collection. This new physical reproduction is produced in Kentucky by POSTER GALLERY on luster paper and sold unframed.About the original artwork
