Sherrif Hoffman boasts, "I understand that you make the charge that you will escape from any straightjacket that is placed upon you. I take the liberty of challenging this statement and will be present, on Thursday evening next, at the Palace Theatre with a number of Deputies, to place you in a straightjacket, from which I believe, you cannot escape.
Believe me that I am right in my opinion!"
