Offered is an original Harris & Ewing Photographic News Service press photograph featuring Marion Illig of the Smithsonian Institution demonstrating a rare indigenous musical instrument known as the \"Quer-Quer.\"
The original attached news caption identifies the instrument as being used by the Jivaro (Shuar) Indians of the Amazon headwaters and notes that it was collected for the Smithsonian by an Ecuadorian collaborator working with renowned anthropologist Matthew W.
