This listing is for the USED (because it\'s older) cast iron bank made by the Franklin Mint and depicts a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a side car appearing to enter a shed. The plaque on the bottom shows this bank was made in 2003, called a DUO GLIDE and is #290 of 9500.
This is a slider type bank that when the release is pushed, it slides toward the shed. The person standing by the shed turns when the bike slides forward, and the dog in the sidecar is a great extra feature, along with the cases of beer(?) and the beer keg. Being older, the mechanism (spring?) is rather slow in movement and seems to hang up slightly. We purchased this bank over ten years ago and have just enjoyed it being on display, since we couldn\'t afford the real thing.
PLEASE READ:This bank appears to have been broken as some point and has been repaired as I have seen other identical banks and they seem different ..... but I must say, it looks like a decent job and doesn\'t inhibit the movement or appearance. So we are selling this \"as is\" and it will still make a great display for a Harley Davidson.
This is a very heavy bank with moving parts so packing and protecting this will be very carefully done.Shipping is include in the price and will be sent via priority mail with insurance.
