Skelton Knives SK-023 — Handmade Hunting / Field Knife
Handmade in the USA from 80CrV2 carbon steel and built as a practical all-around hunting and field knife.
SK-023 was the first knife I built start-to-finish on my new 2×72 grinder, and it resulted in some of the cleanest bevels and plunge lines I’ve produced so far.

Heat Treatment Heat treated in-house. After tempering, my 60 HRC test file skates while the 65 HRC file just begins to grab.
The handle has a sculpted palm swell / coke-bottle contour for a secure, comfortable grip. The red oak was oriented so the grain nearly mirrors across the tang, with black G10 liners framing the handle.
Knife is sharpened and ready for use.
