One egg (clear one)
Pysanky / Pisanki: Traditional Ukrainian and Polish styles often utilize these detailed floral, avian, and geometric motifs.
This decorative egg is carefully hand-carved from solid wood and detailed using pyrography (wood-burning) to create deep, dark outlines. The shapes are then filled in with vibrant paints—in this case, featuring a bright yellow chick surrounded by green leaves and colorful folk floral patterns—before being finished with a smooth, clear protective glaze.
2 eggs (dark ones)
• Petrykivka & Zhostovo: The distinct floral decorations painted against solid black or dark lacquer backings strongly mirror styles found in Ukrainian Petrykivka and Russian painting traditions.
Hand-turned from solid wood (like linden or birch), painted with intricate floral motifs using vibrant reds, oranges, and golds against a deep black background, and finished with multiple layers of high-gloss protective lacquer.
