Gemmy builds most of the licensed animatronics sold at the big box stores, and they share the same basic wiring, so this is not limited to one character.
GOT AN INFLATABLE INSTEAD? The 10 ft Reaching Jack is the one we get asked about most, and the answer is yes. Blow-ups are a fan and some lights with no speaker inside, so there is nothing for the board to listen to. The same board still does the job, it just gets set up the other way round: it runs its own speaker on its own timer, so it fires on a schedule instead of following the prop. Send us a message through and we will sort you out.
Most props plug straight in. A few use a different speaker plug and need a simple splice instead. Message us with your model and we will tell you which.
HOW IT WORKS (about a minute, honestly)1. Plug it in with the included USB-C cable, and plug the included red and black cable into the prop\'s own board.
2. On your phone, join the Wi-Fi network whose name starts with \"Jack-\". There is no password, and the menu opens by itself the way a hotel sign-in page does. No app to download, no account, no signup.
3. Drag your MP3s in. Set the volume. Done.
INSTRUCTIONS COME IN THE BOXEvery board ships with a printed setup card: plug it in, join his Wi-Fi, open the menu. The menu itself walks you through the rest, and the wiring is two cables that only fit one way. If you get stuck, send us a message here on and we will walk you through it.
NO INTERNET NEEDEDThe board makes its own Wi-Fi and serves the menu itself. It does not need your home network, your router, or our servers. It works in a yard with no signal.
Putting it on your home Wi-Fi is optional, switched off out of the box, and only useful if you ever want us to help you troubleshoot. It needs 2.4 GHz, which almost every home router still broadcasts.
WORKS ON ANYTHING WITH A WEB BROWSERPC, iPhone, Android, tablet, an old laptop from a drawer. Nothing to install and nothing to keep updated, because the board serves the page itself.
WHAT YOU CAN DO FROM THE MENU

• Add a song from your phone, or load the included microSD card on a computer, or both
• Record a clip with your phone\'s own recorder. The board trims the silence off both ends and evens out the level before it saves
• Group your sounds into playlists
• Play or stop any track, with a progress bar
• Set the volume, and it is remembered after a power cut
• Choose how long he sings: let the board learn your prop\'s own animation length, fix it to a number of seconds, or play the whole song
• Choose how it plays: with the prop (the normal one), on a timer for props that make no sound of their own, or non-stop for one song after another
• Pick the colour of his eyes and his nose, and the brightness (Rev 4 boards)
• Give the board a name, so Porch Jack and Graveyard Jack stay straight
• Lock the menu with a PIN, so nobody at the party rewrites your playlist

MORE THAN ONE PROP?Every board makes its own Wi-Fi network, named after itself, and keeps its own songs and its own settings. Two Jacks in one yard never get confused for each other, and you set them up one at a time.
REV 4, THE CURRENT BOARD

• Colour-changing eyes and nose. Pumpkin orange for Halloween, red and green for Christmas, your call. The nose flickers like a candle, which is also how you know the board is running
• Smarter power. It takes the prop\'s 5 V when that is connected and falls back to USB-C, never feeds one supply back into the other, and shuts itself down on a fault instead of letting parts cook
• A BOOT button on the back: one tap brings the setup Wi-Fi back if you ever lose it, and five seconds clears a forgotten menu PIN
• A motion sensor input, fitted and wired. The software does not start songs from it yet, so leave it empty for now

WHAT YOU GET
