Substantial and uncommon history of Kappa Delta Sorority, published in celebration of the organization’s seventy-fifth anniversary and documenting its development from its founding in 1897 through 1972. Written by Genevieve Forbes Morse, the work provides an extensive institutional history of the sorority, its chapters, membership, leadership, traditions, and growth across the United States.
Complete in two volumes, uniformly bound in attractive green cloth over boards with contrasting natural linen spines and corners. Gilt titles to spines and distinctive white-rose devices stamped to the front boards. Illustrated Kappa Delta coat of arms appears at the front. Published by the sorority itself in Springfield, Missouri, and manufactured by George Banta Company. Library of Congress Catalog Card No. 72-97155.
Condition: Very Good overall. Bindings remain firm and attractive with light shelf and handling wear. Gilt spine lettering and decorative front-cover devices remain bright. Some scattered spotting/foxing and discoloration to the text-block edges, more noticeable along the lower edges. Interiors generally clean and well preserved. Both volumes have a light musty/storage odor from previous storage; no obvious active mold observed. Please review photographs for additional condition detail.
