Herb Trimpe (1939–2015) was an American comic book artist celebrated for his defining run on The Incredible Hulk and for drawing Wolverine’s first full appearance in The Incredible Hulk. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, he joined Marvel in 1967 and became a central figure in 1970s comics. Trimpe’s most popular works include The Incredible Hulk, Godzilla, Shogun Warriors, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones. Known for dynamic storytelling and versatility, he earned the Inkpot and Bob Clampett Humanitarian Awards, leaving a lasting legacy in comics history.
