GUINNESS BEER PINT GLASS – THERE’S NOTHING LIKE A GUINNESS – RETRO ADVERTISING DESIGN
A classic Guinness advertisement, a perfectly poured pint, and a little Irish pub nostalgia with a Milwaukee connection.
This distinctive Guinness beer glass features a colorful advertising illustration of a Guinness bottle pouring stout into a foamy pint, accompanied by the familiar red slogan, “There’s Nothing Like a Guinness.”
Turn the glass around and you’ll find the iconic gold Guinness harp, bold white GUINNESS lettering, the founding year 1759, and “Brewed in Dublin.”
The gently curved silhouette, substantial clear glass base, and double-sided advertising graphics make this a terrific addition to a Guinness collection, home bar, or Irish pub display.
A LITTLE GUINNESS HISTORY
The famous “There’s Nothing Like a Guinness” advertising campaign dates back to the early 20th century, when Guinness became known for its imaginative and memorable advertising.
The playful imagery of Guinness being poured into a pint reflects that classic advertising tradition. Although the artwork draws inspiration from historical Guinness campaigns, the manufacturing date of this particular glass has not been confirmed.
FROM A MILWAUKEE BAR COLLECTION
This glass comes from a collection of authentic barware acquired from the family behind two longtime establishments on Milwaukee’s historic Water Street.
The collection reflects Milwaukee’s rich neighborhood bar culture, where generations gathered for cold beer, conversation, and the occasional story that probably improved considerably with each retelling.
A little Irish advertising history, a little Milwaukee character, and a second act waiting to happen.
Not a bad résumé for a pint glass.
