Artist Antonio Reonegro is a highly respected American artist with a career spanning over 30 years in illustration, design, painting, and mixed-media artwork. Most notably, his 1991 “Circus Train” Spring Tour backstage pass set was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s permanent collection, marking an exceptional achievement and cementing his legacy in music and pop culture history. His reputation in the rock and roll art world is built on his long collaboration with the Grateful Dead for whom he designed over 160 original backstage passes, t-shirts, logos and sketches between 1989 and 1995. These designs became iconic to Deadheads, vibrant, imaginative and instantly recognizable, filled with playful skeletons, dancing bears, and symbolic imagery tied to each tour and venue. Reonegro’s work continues to be sought after by collectors and Dead enthusiasts worldwide. His pieces not only reflect deep artistic skill but also carry the spirit and cultural history of one of the most beloved bands of all time.
