I got this book off the shelf from the Military Base Stars & Stripes Bookstore in Giessen Germany in 1975!
I was a Marvel guy when I collected and I pretty much collected almost every title! I do have many DC titles that I did accumulate over the years!
Defenders is a title that I collected and read up until issue #40 when Sal Buscema and his artwork left the title! I didn’t read them after issue #40, I just bought, bagged, and boarded them!
This book is over 52 years old and you can see that there are few slight blemishes and a small tear on the back cover.
This book is complete with no missing pages or ads and is in VG/VG+ condition!
I started collecting comics in 1972 when I was 10 years old! A friend of mine showed me his collection, prior to this, I had never even heard of or seen a comic book. When I saw the cover art for Avengers #71 - I was blown away!!!
The first comic that I ever purchased was DC Comics Larry Harmon’s Laurel and Hardy #1 and I still have it!
I stopped collecting consistently in 1981 cause I was going to college and could no longer afford it! I had a slight resurgence in 1985 after I graduated and a little into the 90’s! Over the years I picked up issues here and there!
Most of my collection is very lightly read or unread! Most will have the original cover luster and white pages!
I take all the pics of the raw book without bags or boards! Every comic will be bagged, boarded, and secured for shipping!
