Weimar-Era German Promotion Document "Im Namen des Reichs" Autographed by Paul von Hindenburg
An original German Weimar Republic promotion decree ("Im Namen des Reichs" - In the Name of the Reich) dated Berlin, 1 February 1926, promoting Hauptmann Ludwig Hirschauer, serving at the Kommandantur von Cuxhaven, to the rank of Major with rank seniority from 1 February 1926. The document is printed with an ornate calligraphic header and hand-lettered German script text detailing the promotion terms and oath requirements. It bears an embossed/blind German national eagle seal at lower left, and is signed in ink by Reichspräsident Paul von Hindenburg, with a countersignature below.
There is a small penciled notation at upper left corner.
