German Made Danish Model 1867 Remington Bayonet 1st Var Unit Mrk + Sheath TR1637 For Sale

Early First Model Danish Model 1867 Remington Saber Bayonet measuring 26.75" OAL, 21.75" blade. Excellent blade with light age patina, handling wear, plum patina pommel, guard and scabbard ends. Ricasso blade: "GEBR. WEYERSBURG SOLINGEN". Opposite side stamped with a crown along with the top of the blade spine. Guard stamped with serial no on one side with the obverse side showing two unit military markings. The finial on the scabbard is also unit stamped. Excellent working press-stud, Scabbard leather is somewhat stiff showing handling wear, scratches, the Chape and locket has some looseness and the scabbard does not fully close ont o the bayonet, sticks out about a quarter of an inch.This German made saber bayonet was for the First Danish Rolling Block Rifle made by Remington.
