Fine 19th-century French gilt bronze (ormolu) letter rack crafted in the refined Louis XVI style during the Napoleon III period.
This piece features exceptionally detailed relief work, displaying classic Neoclassical motifs including delicate floral garlands and a central musical trophy. Cast in solid bronze with a substantial weight of over 3.2 kg (7.1 lbs), it shows the superior quality and craftsmanship characteristic of 19th-century French bronzework.
The back features impressed initials and numerical markings. It remains in very good antique condition with minor, age-appropriate surface wear and a rich patina that highlights its intricate details.
A standout decorative accent for an executive desk, library, or fine antique collection.
