LOT OF1 VINTAGE COMIC BOOK: FORofferDEN WORLDS #17 CGC 4.0 With Off-White Pages. Very Unusual Color Scheme With A Green Logo And Orange Background; Which Serves To Make The Oblivious Man\'s Blonde Werewolf Wife Even More Jarring! Where Else Can You See A Depiction Of Werewolf-Blondie, Besides This Little-Known Cover By The Underrated Ken Bald? Perhaps It\'s Little-Known With Good Reason: The Only Two Blue Label Copies To Appear On GPA Are Both From Noted Pedigrees! Confirming What I\'ve Observed For Many Years About The Serious Scarcity Of This Wolfman Themed Issue; And This Eye-Popping Cover Is Perfect To Promote The Related Tale \"The Werewolves Of The Rockies\"...Making It A Must-Have For Fans Of Lycanthropes. I Lucked Onto This Rarity Back In The Nineties As I Feverishly Added To My Werewolf Collection; I Am Now Parting With Some Of My Treasures, And Recently Submitted This One Off To CGC. This Very Long-Running Supernatural Series Was One Of The Earliest Horror Titles And It Is Rightfully One That Is Increasingly Sought-After. The Issues Between #15 And #17 Have Proven To Be Especially Elusive, Suggesting They Must Have Had Tiny Print-Runs. It\'s Hard Enough To Obtain In Complete Shape, Making This Flat Brilliant Mid-Grade Copy A Real Find. The Pre-Code HorrorCraze Was At Its Apex, SoIt\'s Got The Ubiquitous Lurid Content Including Gore And Good Girl Art And Graphic Violence And Supernatural Themes. This Was Released As The May, 1953, IssueFrom American Comics Group.
IN ADDITION TO THE WEREWOLF TALE THIS COLLECTABLE COMIC CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING STORIES, \"THE HOUSE IN GROSVENOR LANE\", \"THE FACE OF THE FIEND\", AND \"THE RECORDED MONSTER\", AND MORE. IT HAS AN ORIGINAL PRICE OF TEN CENTS.The Horror And Supernatural Themes Never Go Out Of Style! This hails from a dark, dry, pet-free, climate-controlled environment, for at least the past 27 years that I\'ve enjoyed it. Although it\'s over seventy years old it retains an amazing amount of luster, and the eye appeal is impressive. While the numeric grade may not seem high, the comic is more attractive than you\'d expect for VG, and it IS one of the top few copies ever certified by CGC, suitable for even the advanced collector or investor. Crucial comic for any fan of the Wolf Man, or any collector of the rarer horror comics fromthe middle of the twentieth century.
