The item is a beautiful hand-thrown studio art pottery stoneware vase featuring a hand-painted floral design on an off-white or cream-glazed body.
Really not sure of maker. Nice heavy vase. It features a traditional, wide-shouldered ginger jar shape with a flared rim and visible throwing lines. It is typical of North American mid-to-late 20th-century functional studio pottery.
The flower motif looks hand-brushed burgundy or deep-red flower (resembling an iris or lily) with blue and green brushstrokes.
The base of the vase is trimmed with an unglazed brown clay band paired with a thin accent line above it. The handwritten "30" on the bottom maybe signifies a form or sequence number designated by the artisan during production.
GUC with minor wear.
