Fenton Iridescent Carnival Glass Feathered Serpent 3-In-1 Emerald Green Crimped Ruffled Rim Antique 9 3/4\" Bowl 1910-1920s

This spectacular antique Fenton Feathered Serpent bowl is crafted in richly iridescent green carnival glass with a dramatic 3-In-1 crimped and ruffled rim. The striking design features the highly sought-after Feathered Serpent pattern, displaying elaborate scrolling serpent motifs surrounding a detailed center medallion. The vivid iridescence exhibits brilliant flashes of blue, purple, gold, pink, and green across the surface, making this an exceptional display piece from the golden age of American carnival glass.

This piece comes from a lifetime Carnival Glass collection of well over 1,000 pieces assembled by a dedicated collector over many years. We were fortunate to acquire more than 180 pieces from this remarkable collection and are pleased to make them available to our buyers.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

This impressive bowl features Fenton\'s Feathered Serpent pattern with ornate swirling serpent forms radiating around the interior. The bowl has a dramatic 3-In-1 crimped and ruffled rim that creates a flowing sculptural appearance. The green base glass is enhanced by outstanding iridescence, producing vibrant rainbow colors throughout the surface. The combination of the elaborate pattern and unusual rim treatment makes this a highly desirable example of early carnival glass.

ITEM CONDITION

Very Good Antique Condition with No Chips, Cracks, or Repairs. The iridescent finish remains bright and attractive with typical minor manufacturing irregularities and light wear consistent with age. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the description.

Feathered Serpent is one of Fenton\'s most visually striking carnival glass patterns, inspired by mythological serpent motifs and elaborate Art Nouveau styling. The pattern combines flowing curves, scrollwork, and detailed embossing to create exceptional visual depth. The dramatic 3-In-1 crimped rim further enhances the presentation, while the rich green base glass and brilliant iridescence showcase the artistry that made Fenton one of the premier American carnival glass manufacturers of the early twentieth century.
