Fabienne Jouvin Paris – Geometric Cloisonné Enamel Tea Caddy / Lidded Jar – 1970s
The cylindrical body and fitted lid are decorated throughout with an intricate geometric woven pattern in soft shades oflavender, lilac, pale blue, and muted rose, each enamel section outlined with fine gilt metal cloisonné wires. Gilt brass borders accent the upper and lower edges and the division between the lid and body.
The interior is finished in a richdeep teal-blue enamel, providing a beautiful contrast to the pastel geometric exterior.
Originally designed as a tea canister or storage jar, the piece also works beautifully as a decorative box or sculptural accent. Its combination of traditional cloisonné craftsmanship and bold geometric design is characteristic of Fabienne Jouvin\'s distinctive modern interpretation of Asian decorative arts.
