Serving dish in hand-painted Chinese porcelain. It is characterized by a very rich, multicolored decoration in vat enamel. These include deer (symbol of longevity), squirrels among vines, Mandarin ducks (symbol of marital fidelity) and goldfish (symbol of abundance and prosperity). As for the flora, peonies, lotus flowers and the \"three fruits\" (peach, pomegranate, lemon) dominate, symbolizing long life, fertility and blessing. China, Qing dynasty, 19th century.These plates do show their age with some fading and flea bites on the edges. No cracks or big chips. Please see the photos.
