◆Extremely Rare, Excellent Condition, Circa 1910, Made in Canada! Waterman’s IDEAL Bakelite Lever-Filling Fountain Pen, Nib: Gold <6> Broad, Heart Hole, Total Length 138.6 mm◆This is an extremely rare Waterman’s IDEAL fountain pen, made in Canada circa 1910. Additionally, the lever-filling mechanism has had its internal sac replaced, so it works perfectly. ◆Barrel: Engraved with “PATENTED IDEAL MARK AUG. 9, 1906 WATERMAN’S FOUNT AIN-PEN. CANADA. FEB. 9, 1906.” The clip section is also engraved with “CLIP-CAP IDEAL Mark PATD OCT. 9.06.” ◆ [Condition] While it shows signs of age, there is no significant wear, and it is in excellent condition. It is also fully functional. (Please judge for yourself based on the photos.) ◆ Nib: Engraved with “WATERMAN’S IDEAL CANADA 6.” Based on my experience, the nib is between broad and medium, but I believe it leans very heavily toward broad. Although the gold fineness is not stamped, there is no signs of deterioration, and it is believed to be 18K. ◆ Specifications: Ink is filled via a lever-filling system. (The internal sac has been replaced.) ◆ Dimensions: Total length 138.5 mm, barrel diameter 14.6 mm (at the thickest point in the center).
