Born in the violent volcanic collapse of the Precambrian St. Francois Caldera complex, this massive 2.4-pound polished slab captures the raw, chaotic power of Missouri’s deep geological history.
Superheated hydrothermal fluids surged through fractured fissure veins of quartz and topaz, depositing rich polymetallic ores. Deep-red hematite banding bleeds through the matrix, contrasting against olive-green chlorite and epidote alteration lines along ancient shear planes. Embedded within the dense, mirror-finished black jaspellite is a rich metallic ore suite: argentiferous (silver-bearing) galena, dense wolframite, and authentic arsenopyrite.
Cut with a flat base for effortless freestanding display, the front face has been brought to a brilliant lapidary finish where the glassy jaspellite and metallic sulfide veins create a striking interplay of light and texture.

This piece originates directly from the historic Einstein Mine—Missouri\'s legendary 19th-century silver and tungsten deposit along the St. Francis River.
