Early 1800s Folded Stampless Cover w/ Wax Seal – Hallidesburg Pennsylvania German Script
Double sided approximately 8.25\" by 6.5\"
Original early 19th-century folded stampless letter cover featuring handwritten German script. Addressed to Franz Joseph Baronner (or possibly Baronner), also to Joseph Reiser in Carr, Mifflin County, Pensilvania—note the period-correct spelling. Reverse side includes sender\'s information: Heinrich Van Con, New Yorktown, Westmoreland County, Smith Township, Pa. Contains partial red wax seal and distinctive period fold lines. A wonderful example of Pennsylvania German-American correspondence with regional spelling and early Americana postal history appeal.
