Early 1915 Stewart Table-Top Phonograph. Functioning, Needs Some Restoration For Sale

Up for sale is a very early functioning Steward table-top acoustic phonograph.This scarce piece was purchased from a prominent Washington D.C. estate. This may be considered a pre-catalog model with early serial number of 1003. It has a wood grain over metal finish with vertical slats. It has the early green felt turntable pad. It has the original wooden handle crank and a stop selector, as shown. The height of the unit is 3 7/8\" with a turntable surface of 9 3/4\" in diameter and the base diameter of 11\". The brass faceplate boasts Stewart Phonograph, Binghampton New York and has a variable speed selector. The mechanics look to be 100% original and intact. The sound tube has two losses, (see pics). The reproducer seems to be intact. The crank works perfect, as well as the stop mechanism and speed variation is fully functional. I tried to upload a video to show the functionality of the turntable, but for some reason, would not process it. As for condition, the case has a minor dent at the base, as shown and the sound tube needs work. It has great bones for sure. I have not tried to clean the piece. It is exactly as found. I do not have a needle or record to test for sound quality. Having said this, I believe the proper restorer can bring this back to its original glory without spending a ton of money. This is a scarce, early example and will make a great addition to your Stewart phonograph collection.
