Ertl #213400 Performance Pioneer "Ed Roth No Rat Fink #8" 1916 Studebaker Panel MIB By Spec Cast
MADE BY SPEC-CAST When the Rat Finks were made in 1993 for Eastwood Automobile as their #8 in the Performance Pioneer series and for Ed “Big Daddy” Roth
THERE WERE 10,200 OF THE FIRST, WHICH WERE SHIPPED FROM THE FACTORY WITHOUT THE RAT FINK DECAL ON TOP AND WAS TAN AND BROWN. DIFFERENT LETTERING ALSO APPEARS ON THE BACK OF THE MISSING RAT FINK BANKS.
THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE ON SPEC-CAST AND ALL OF THESE BANKS WERE RETURNEDTO SPEC-CAST FOR REMANUFACTURE OR DESTRUCTION.
ONLY 10,000 OF THE SECOND, CORRECTED BANKS WERE MADE AND RETURNED FROM SPEC-CAST TO EASTWOOD. THESE ARE YELLOW AND BROWN AND HAVE THE DISTINCTIVE "RAT FINK" DECAL ON THE ROOF.
200 OF THE ORIGINIAL 10,200 (TAN/BROWN WITH MISSING RAT FINK DECALS) SOMEHOW "GOT LOST"
FROM THERE THE MISSING 200 RAT FINK 1916 STUDEBAKER PANELS WERE SOLD
VERY, VERY RARE!!
