EARLY HOPI BOWL - LIKELY NAMPEYO OF HANO - EARLY “FROM THE HOPI VILLAGES” LABEL
A RARE EARLY HOPI BOWL likely made by NAMPEYO of Hano (1859-1942). This bowl still retains its very early Fred Harvey Company label : “FROM THE HOPI VILLAGES.” Based on online research, this is likely the earliest form of this label and indicates an early 20th century date.

Please note that this is a vintage piece that shows wear.Most notably, this bowl exhibits a break that bisects it. This bowl was rejoined at some point in its history. There is an old chip to the rim. It exhibits some scratches and dings. The base shows some wear. PLEASE examine the images carefully.This bowl will be shipped carefully protected in a box.
Origin:
Like the other Pueblo pieces I have sold on , this is from my late father’s estate. I do not know when or where he purchased it.
