EAPG Antique Central Glass Company Open Compote c.1880 SHELL Pattern No.877 For Sale

A lovely heavy Early American Pressed Glass footed compote bowl made in 1880. This was produced by The Central Glass Company and is called their SHELL Pattern No. 877. We include a photo from the May 1965 edition of Spinning Wheel Magazine showing Centrals pieces in this pattern. Revi ( in American Pressed Glass...) also lists it on page 114. A brilliant clear and quite reflective piece of antique pattern glass. This has many bubbles (one located right along the top rim) and straw marks as typically found in Early American Pressed Pattern Glass. It is in excellent condition with no damage. Clean, clear and with no haze.Measures 7\" high and 6-1/4\" across the rim.
