Doug Sneyd Signed Original Art Pencil Preliminary Prelim Gag Sketch Playboy #169 For Sale

Measuring approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches and drawn in pencil on heavy tracing vellum, this prelim features the work of acclaimed Playboy artist Doug Sneyd. It is the rough for his gag cartoon for Playboy #169 (1988). In fair condition, it will be shipped with the utmost care (please see scan- as a prelim, it has wear as is to be expected). Please note- this is an actual, original piece of art drawn by hand by Sneyd. It is not a copy, print or pre-printed image. It is a one-of-a-kind original. Also included in with the prelim is a copy of the page from the magazine showing the finished, colored gag art. It also measures 8 1/2 by 11 inches (and what appears to be a sticky note is actually part of the copy).

About Doug Sneyd:

Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada\'s largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
