(note: no tickets were sold for the Invitational Preview and Dedication on July 17; as all admissions were complimentary that day; by invitation only)
The first admission ticket was purchased at "Main Gate Ticket Booth #2" by Walt Disney's elder brother, Roy O. Disney, on July 18, 1955. That ticket is among the priceless artifacts now in the permanent custody of The Walt Disney Archives in Burbank, California.
