I am not sure if the set has been used or not, so I am listing as used. Some of the pieces are still taped in such as the small figures and batteries. The gate and lamp posts still had the pull tag, but I removed to test. I placed my own batteries in the big pieces to test and did not remove the batteries included. I will not guarantee those to work. I did notice that the screw was missing on both pieces that AA batteries are used. The button batteries are working at the time of this listing. The bottom of the gate was not easy to open, but is in good working order. Box shows some shelf life wear and instructions included.
