This vintage PECO # 14 postcard features the famous Dionne Quintuplets posed, wearing smocks and standing next to an artist’s easel.
This postcard, mailed from Callander and postmarked July 21, 1938, was likely purchased at the souvenir pavilion operated by the two midwives who delivered the Quintuplets on May 28, 1934. The postcard is stamped and signed by Madame Mary-Jeanne Lebel. The cancelled 2 cent stamp intact, adding to its historical significance.
Although there is a profound crease visible on the lower right front corner, it is less visible on the reverse side.
There is an ink smudge visible at/below the last ‘a’ in California, and can be clearly seen in the photo. However it does not impact the card’s integrity.
This postcard is from a large Dionne memorabilia collection being liquidated by a longtime collector. It is from a smoke-free home, and sold as is. Sale is final.
