David Wright - Tearing Off a Strip - pinup from The Sketch - September 8, 1943 For Sale

We recentlyacquired a wonderful group of vintage prints of David Wright’s commercial work - pinups, advertising work, and book covers and will be posting them here as we scan and catalog them.

If you\'re not familiar with Wright\'s Sketch pinups, here are the important points

• These are NOT tearsheets in that they were not bound as paft of the magazine. The Sketch printed these separately from the magazine on thin, glossy paper and tipped them in. Recognizing the popularity of Wright’s pinups, they presented them in an upgraded and easy to collect format
• These are NOT later reprints. These are the original prints distributed with the issue of the magazine.
• Size is about 8.5 x 11.75 inches
• Condition is generally about VG-Fine. They were printed on thin paper and are getting close to 100 years old, and inevitably show some handling wear.
• Many of Wright\'s pinups have mild nudity and will appear in the Art category. You can always find them by checking our \"Other Items\" or searching on \"pinup from the Sketch\" or simply \"David Wright\".
