Offering this 100% genuine signature of Lt. Dewey George Johnston, USN (1910-1941). Johnston served as an officer aboard the USS Reuben James (DD-245) during the Battle of the Atlantic 1941. Absolutely NO supposed relatives, self-proclaimed historians/authors/curators, the merely curious, or others who think lame bargaining ploys will net them gold for the price of tin.
I am not a dealer. I am a PRIVATE COLLECTOR. I am fully retired. I have no overhead or a driving need to sell. But I have been collecting military signatures for about 60 years now. Due to health issues, I'm offering these items solely as a means to downsize my accumulations and share with fellow collectors while I am still able to do so. I have a lot of time and money invested in my collections. I don't ask for full retail or top dollar, but I won't sell for a price that is unfair to either of us.
