DC Comic Books Robin III Cry of the Huntress. 6 Book MINISERIES. NEW NICE SET:
$18.88

Robin III: Cry of the Huntress is a six-issue miniseries from 1992–1993, which sees Tim Drake's Robin caught in a gang war and an international conspiracy. While investigating, he teams up with the vigilante Huntress and defies Batman's orders.

Plot summary

A global conspiracy: A gang war erupts in Gotham between the Russian mob known as the Artel, led by KGBeast, and the Ghost Dragons, led by King Snake. Robin discovers the conflict is a cover for a larger plot of international economic warfare and counterfeiting.

An uneasy alliance: Robin first encounters the Huntress while pursuing the same mobsters. Despite her initial wariness of the Boy Wonder, the two form an uneasy alliance. As they work together, Huntress learns that Batman has kept her existence a secret from his protégé.

The hunt for a kidnapper: Robin and Huntress team up to find a young girl, Ariana Dzerchenko, who was kidnapped after her father—a printer—was murdered by KGBeast.

Robin's deception: The Huntress discovers that Robin has been working behind Batman's back to expose the counterfeiting ring.

Confrontation and betrayal: The investigation culminates in a confrontation with KGBeast and King Snake. Robin learns that Ariana is still alive and discovers that the counterfeit money is actually a new "Eurodollar" currency that isn't yet valuable.

A creative solution: During a final battle, Robin and Huntress are trapped with the villains. When the Huntress threatens to destroy the worthless money, Robin reveals he's already sabotaged the digital data strips, making the currency unspendable. He offers the bills to King Snake in exchange for their lives and the release of all the captives.

Consequences and reconciliation: After the ordeal, Tim is confronted by his father, who apologizes for their growing distance and promises to cancel his plans to send Tim to boarding school. The story ends with the father and son reconciling as the Bat-Signal shines in the night sky.
