This is an antique postcard depicting a Canal Towage Co. No. 8 boat on the C&O Canal tow path in Cumberland, Maryland. The view shows the tree-lined canal with a figure on the boat and another person on the path in the distance. This Undivided Back era card was published by Jno. A. Fulton & Co. of Cumberland, MD. It was posted from Cumberland on February 26, 1907, to Richmond, Virginia, with a message written on the front. The card shows corner and edge wear, creases on the left side, and general soiling consistent with its age and postal use.
