Cooke Baker Vickers Pol / Petrographic Microscope, Bertrand, Objectives VintageHere is a (most likely 50s vintage - around the time Vickers bought Cooke Troughton & Simms) Pol / Petrological microscope. Included are both the binocular head and monocular with flip-in Bertrandlens. A full complement of Cooke-Baker objectives in very good optical condition! Rotary stage, two polarizers (one mounted underthe stage for transmittedillumination and one that slips on the epi attachmentfor incidentillumination. A condenser with good diaphragm and illuminationmirror that is in pretty decent condition for its age. The stage rotates nicely. Fine and course focus are smooth as can be and hold their position. The condenser carrier adjust nicely as well. Polarizer is a little more stiff but not much, it still adjust easily.
