Cold War Veteran Embroidered Patch 1945-1991 Eagle vs Bear US and Soviet Flags For Sale

This is a Cold War Veteran embroidered patch dated September 2, 1945 to December 26, 1991.

Those dates match the eligibility window for the Cold War Recognition Certificate, which Congress authorized in the Fiscal Year 1998 defense bill. September 2, 1945 is the day Japan signed the surrender aboard USS Missouri (BB-63) in Tokyo Bay, and December 26, 1991 is the day the Soviet Union dissolved. In between came the Berlin Airlift, the Berlin Wall and the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.

The patch measures 4 by 4 inches with a merrowed edge and an iron-on backing.

Sew it on a jacket or vest, or frame it with a recognition certificate for a veteran who served in those years.
