Vintage Classics Illustrated No. 33, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring the striking H.C. Kiefer Sherlock Holmes cover.

This is the HRN 71 edition, identified by the Classics Illustrated title list on the back cover ending with #71, The Man Who Laughs.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a heavily worn, low-grade copy with significant damage and is being sold as a reader/filler copy.

There is a large horizontal tear through the front cover, clearly visible in the photos, as well as tearing affecting interior pages. Additional condition issues include spine splitting and wear, tearing and paper loss around the interior spine/staple area, heavy creasing, edge and corner wear, surface rubbing, age-related toning, and other handling wear. There also appears to be old tape/tape residue or repair along portions of the back/spine area.

Despite the condition, the front cover retains good color and the Sherlock Holmes artwork remains very displayable.

This comic is ungraded. Please review all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up photographs showing the tears and spine/interior damage. The exact comic pictured is the comic you will receive.

One-owner/family-owned collection: This comic was originally collected during childhood and remained with the original owner for decades before being passed directly to her son. It has been securely stored in a tote for many years and has seen relatively limited handling. It has not been repeatedly bought, sold, or circulated through multiple collections.
