A charming small clear-glass fairy lamp matching the S. Clarke Pyramid diamond-point form, with a beautifully textured shade and scalloped matching-style base.
The gently tapered shade is covered with closely spaced, raised diamond points that catch the light from every direction. Its geometric surface gives the clear glass a sparkling appearance, while the circular opening at the top completes the traditional candle-lamp design.
The bowl-shaped base features a softly scalloped rim, bands of diamond-pattern decoration, and a contrasting smooth band around the body. Small molded supports inside the base hold the removable shade above the candle well.
Its compact proportions make this a particularly appealing piece for collectors of miniature lighting, pressed glass, and traditional fairy lamps. Displayed beside colored glass or illuminated with a suitably sized battery-operated light, the patterned surface creates a lovely focal point.
This example is attributed to the Clarke Pyramid type based on its form and decoration. The original glasshouse and exact production date have not been established. Molded details on the base are shown in the close-up photographs for collectors to examine.
